Mentoring for Children & Young People Engaging in Serious Youth Violence

Serious Youth Violence (SYV) is behaviour by children and young people involving the most serious violence such as murder, attempted murder, GBH, death by dangerous driving, death by aggravated vehicle taking, assault with injury, any weapon enabled crime or any sexual offence, which occurs within a gang-related context.
Positive Roots Consultancy Ltd offer a one to one mentoring service for children at risk, or engaging in serious youth violence/gang related behaviours. This is an intensive programme requiring a minimum of weekly contact with a mentor and if appropriate can be delivered alongside Family Sessions whereby the parent/career is brought together with the young person in order to support effective communication.
Parents and carers are also invited to individual one to one sessions or group work programmes if preferred, to provide additional parenting support during adolescence.
Positive Roots Consultancy Ltd offers a safe and confidential service to our clients. We are accepting self-referrals from parents/carers as well as from statutory and non-statutory agencies working with children and families.
